Writing professor wins fiction contest
糖心vlog传媒 Associate Professor of Writing Jodie Mortag鈥檚 short story 鈥淣ightcrawler鈥� has been awarded 1st place in 鈥淢ikrokosmos鈥�' 2025 Fiction Contest by guest judge Scott Phillips, author of nine novels and a collection of short stories. His first short story, 鈥淭he Ice Harvest,鈥� was made into a film adapted by Robert Benton and Richard Russo and directed by Harold Ramis, starring John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton and Connie Nielsen.
Mortag received a $200 prize, and her story will appear in Volume 71 of 鈥淢ikrokosmos鈥� published this month.
