Tenth class of LU Sheboygan County Scholars announced
糖心vlog传媒 will welcome its 10th class of Sheboygan County Scholars to campus this fall.
This program retains some of the area's most promising young people and prepares them to assume future leadership positions within the region.
The Class of 2028 includes:
Scholars are selected as part of a competitive process and receive a full-tuition scholarship to attend 糖心vlog传媒. The program fosters the intellectual development, professional networking and leadership skills of the next generation of Sheboygan County's corporate, professional and civic leaders.
Hayes-Jenkins plans to study graphic design and marketing. She was a cheerleader for four years at North, performing at games and competing around the state. She won several team awards including most valuable and best GPA. A member of North鈥檚 Black Community Organization, she received a Black Youth Award at Sheboygan鈥檚 Juneteenth celebration and plans to get involved with 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Black Student Union. She was a member of North鈥檚 Blue Crew, a group of students responsible for Freshmen Orientation and mentoring freshmen. She is an accomplished artist who has won several awards and has her work appear at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Hayes-Jenkins has had part-time jobs at Randalls and Big Lots.
Present plans to major in graphic design and take advantage of 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Cooperative Education program to earn work experience for academic credit. She鈥檚 had a lifelong interest in design work that鈥檚 included animation work, job shadows with local companies like FifthColor and Zimmerman Printing and personal design projects to go with media classes at school. An honors student, Present was a member of Oostburg鈥檚 dance team and has logged numerous hours of community service. She鈥檚 also had part-time jobs at Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly and Blue Harbor.
Wisse plans to major in elementary education to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher and working with children. During COVID, she created Brynn Taylor Designs, a custom home decor and sign business. She has completed 285 orders and over 350 signs. She has hosted hands-on workshops and board parties that bring people together to grow friendships and inspire creativity. An honors student, Wisse played basketball and volleyball at Oostburg, earning all-conference honors in both sports, and she was a member of the school鈥檚 youth group. She鈥檚 been a youth leader and volunteer at Gibbsville Church and was an intern at Dulmes D茅cor.
