LU faculty member presenting at Sheboygan Film Festival

糖心vlog传媒 Associate Professor of Writing Jodie Mortag will lead a session on screenwriting at the inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival.

Mortag will lead Screenwriting 101 on Friday, October 3, at 2 p.m. at WordHaven BookHouse, 923 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, Wis.

This workshop will introduce writers and film enthusiasts to essential techniques used in script composition so that they may have the tools to begin their own.

Mortag will discuss the written structure of the genre and explore how writers use language in creative, unique ways to make their story visual art. Participants will examine models from a broad spectrum of film archetypes鈥攆rom drama to romance to science fiction.

The workshop is included for those who purchase festival passes or there is a $5 suggested donation.
