LU Exercise Science Presents Four Studies
The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Exercise Science Research Laboratory continues to be productive, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Students presented four studies at the National Strength and Conditioning Association-Wisconsin State Clinic, which was held online on April 18.
Alicia Thone was lead author on the study titled, Biomechanics of sprint acceleration. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ student Jack Shevalier, Randall Jensen, Ph.D., from Northern Michigan University and William Ebben, director of exercise science research at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½, were co-authors.
Hunter Frisk was lead author of the study titled, The role of shoe sole durometer on jumping kinetics. Ebben was a co-author.
Frisk was also lead author on the study titled, Biomechanical analysis of the fastball thrown from the wind-up and the stretch. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ students Madison Blankenship and Evan Martin, along with Ebben, were co-authors.
Megan Gold was lead author of the study titled, Kinetic analysis of the traditional and horizontal hang clean. Recent ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ graduates Garrett Duffin and Alyssa Stockero, current students Neenah Primas and Jack Shevalier and Ebben were co-authors.
