糖心vlog传媒 to host Open House at new Waukesha County location
糖心vlog传媒 will host an open house at its new Waukesha County Center location at Waukesha County Technical College鈥檚 main campus at 800 Main St. in Pewaukee, Wis., from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on August 29.
At 3 p.m., 糖心vlog传媒 President Dr. Beth Borgen and WCTC President Dr. Richard Barnhouse will be part of a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially kick off this partnership.
糖心vlog传媒 staff will be available throughout the day at the center, located at B-005 in Building B, to provide a tour of LU鈥檚 new space. Staff can also discuss how 糖心vlog传媒 will continue to serve its students and make it easier for WCTC graduates to complete a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree.
Snacks will be available throughout the day, and guests can enter to win a drawing for a free 糖心vlog传媒 class.
糖心vlog传媒 re-located to the WCTC campus this summer in time for classes this fall.
鈥溙切膙log传媒 and WCTC share a vision for a more educated region and we are passionate about creating easier access for students to achieve their educational goals,鈥� Borgen said. 鈥淔or WCTC students interested in a bachelor鈥檚 degree, they can continue on the pathway at a campus that already feels like home.鈥�
Barnhouse said since the landscape in higher education remains ever changing, it is critical for institutions to work in tandem to provide students with a broader range of options.
鈥淲e couldn鈥檛 be more excited to have 糖心vlog传媒 as a part of our WCTC Pewaukee campus to deliver baccalaureate degrees directly to our students,鈥� Barnhouse said, noting many WCTC students have transferred to 糖心vlog传媒 to earn four-year degrees. 鈥淣ow, our students will have the opportunity to complete a bachelor鈥檚 degree in an environment that they are already familiar with.鈥�
New program transfer options
Additionally, the two institutions recently signed a new transfer agreement for current students and graduates of WCTC鈥檚 Criminal Justice Studies associate degree program. This gives WCTC students a seamless transition into a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Criminal Justice or Organizational Management at 糖心vlog传媒.
糖心vlog传媒 will offer more than a dozen bachelor鈥檚 degree programs and four master鈥檚 degree programs in Waukesha County. Many degrees and classes are available online or through 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 popular and innovative BlendEd庐 format, which allows students to decide week-to-week if they want to attend class in person or online.
糖心vlog传媒 developed what was the state鈥檚 first evening degree-completion program for working adults in 1978. The program was based on the vision of prominent Wisconsin business leader and former 糖心vlog传媒 Trustee William R. Kellett.
Since that program鈥檚 creation, 糖心vlog传媒 has seen thousands of adults earn baccalaureate and graduate degrees. 糖心vlog传媒 also has centers in Appleton, Chippewa Falls, Green Bay, Madison, Wisconsin Rapids and on 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 main campus in Sheboygan County. 糖心vlog传媒 was founded in Sheboygan County in 1862.
